Horsingdon’s Black Bowers are not readily revealed, and the Folk who tend them are cautious as to their exposure - delineating as they do those rare spaces at which this world intersects with unimaginable realms of numinous horror.
Indeed, the Folk of the Black Bowers protect these thresholds with murderous intent, to the extent that such portals are typically surrounded by a horrendous local folklore; yet the terrible, bloodly deeds about which such tales speak are as nothing when compared with the actual, metaphysical atrocities and monstrous transmutations affected at such sites in the prehuman past, and by inhuman powers.
