Founded in pre-Dynastic Egypt, the goals of the Brotherhood of the Black Scorpion remain inscrutable to this day - indeed, it is unclear as to which of the monstrous, prehuman entities of the Cthulhu myth-cycle they make obeisance to - some claim that the Black Scorpion was a pre-Dynastic avatar of Nyarlathotep; others speculate that it might be the entity referred to in The Revelations of Gla’aki as Y’golonac.
