William Hope Hodgson has been rather under-represented here and, given that this year also marks the centenary of his death, it seems apposite to emphasise the importance of his legacy in relation to both the history of the history tale and that of cosmic horror. To this end, today we present one of the first Hodgson books we purchased back in the late 1980s:
